Whoopee!!! It is rainning! Husband said, "It was rainning early this morn, messed up his fishing plans, but that was alright, we need the rain for the garden". I think we are supposed to get rain all weekend. I woke up at 6:30 to let Miss Kitty out and there was a light rain then. I won't have to drag the water hose around for a few days.
My sweet granddaughter spent the night with us last night, I gave up and went to bed about midnight, I think I heard husband tell her to go to bed sometime this morning. She is still asleep on the couch, we have a bed for her to sleep in, the grandsons always had to sleep in the living room when they were younger, ofcourse, the tv is in there. I think I am going to get a small blow up bed this room, I have tv and computer in here. The house is small and sometimes the noise keeps me awake, but I was out cold last night. Usually I like Fridays nights for myself, but she wanted to be home for fahers day. I will have to take her to Wal-mart to get a card for her dad.
The rain has stopped for the moment, no it is rainning again.

Back at work today, Doc walks in to the front office and says the office is back to normal. I did not realize their was only the two of them while I was gone. Susie had Dr.'s appointment Monday and Tuesday both of this week. She wears hearing aides, they are going to do surgery on one of her ears, if it works she will never have to wear hearing aide in that ear again. Then they will do the other ear. Susie lives in the Ozark mountains, her sister, our boss says she will have to get ear plugs to sleep at night, all those crickets will keep her awake, she got a big laugh at that.

Nashville was a lot of fun, we listen to lots of country music, saw lots of stars. The best vacation I have ever had. One of my favorite actors is singing country music. John Corbett, I wasn't sure about his singing but he is not too shabby.

These lilies are pretty. I don't think I have ever had so many blooms on one bush. I usually get one bloom at a time, the bush has really grown.

I am back from vacation. I have to go back to work tomorrow. Boo Hoo! Had so much fun, got to see a lot of stars, not many autographs. Could not get any real famous autographs, but did get some. The actor John Corbett is trying to get into country music, he played down on the river, not too bad. I have always liked him as an actor, his singing is not too bad.
My heel was really sore, but I walked a lot of miles these past few days. Had a blast though.

Started my vacation today at 12:30 pm. We are going to Country Music Festival in Nashville, TN. My oldest daughter, youngest grandson and some friends are going too, it will be so much fun, I always enjoy hanging out with my children and grandchildren. I have two step grandchildren I enjoy too, when they are not driving me crazy. Brother and sister so they always fight and bicker. Hopefully I will get some good pictures to share if I can get them on the computer.
Went to see my foot doctor today, I have a very sore heel, I have spurs on both heels and planter facities in my right heel, it sure does hurt. The doctor and his family are going to Nashville too. I thought that was cool we were going to the same place maybe we will see them in Nashville.

Miss Kitty, husband got new boots, she got a new toy. She loves empty boxes and sacks.

Today is my husband's birthday, # 61. We are getting old. Had the kids over for ribs and stuff. I made homemade rolls for him, he thought that was a good birthday present. I haven't done much cooking lately, usually on the holidays we cook out or something. Justin said we haven't done this in a long time, so I need to try and feel better so we can do it more often.

I have a doctors appointment tomorrow with the foot doctor. My right heel is so sore, it is hard to stand for very long. I think my left heel is getting sore too, not sure if its my arches or a heel spur, it is so painful. Dr. Yates gave me a shot in my left hip, it made it feel a lot better, so I thing I want one in my heel. I am going to Nashville and will be doing a lot of walking, I am so excited, we are going to the country music festival, it will be so much fun if my heel is not hurting. It is going to be fun anyway.

Beautiful day, a little chilly, sunny and very windy. I think it got down to 49 degree last night. I wouldn't care if the weather stayed like this all the time. I am a fall and spring person, winter is okay, if we don't get a lot of ice. We don't get much snow, usually ice storms.

I left work early today, was not feeling well. Checked my sugar it was fine it might have been from not sleeping last night. My hips were hurting, haven't bothered me in a while, I did sorta do the splits when I mopped the batheroom Tuesday. Right leg went one way, left the other way, caught myself on the vanity so I did not go all the way down.

Went to Toad Suck Daze in Conway last Friday night, that was the biggest mess, I don't think they realized the turn out they would get from their concerts. They had David Aldean and Merinda Lambert, people took chairs to sit in at the concert but when the stars come out on stage everyone has to stand up. I have never seen so much pushing and shoving and rude people. I got my picture made with Miranda Lambert, grandson snapped the picture before I was ready, needless to say, I have a weird expression on my face.

Another thunder storm, it blew my umbrella over, I had it in the table and in a stand to secure it. Didn't notice any tree limbs down though, but it is still dark out. Husband covered up the green house with a tarp to protect it from the wind, the cover is so flimsy.

Today is my youngest sister's birthday, she has reached the big 50. I was 8 when she was born, so that tells you how old I am.

It is cloudy again, we are getting so much rain, I am afraid when it stops, it will stop. We went through most of last summer with a burn ban. Had to water the garden to keep it from burning up. We have blooms on our tomato plants, the green beans are coming up, won't be long.

Vacation is coming up too, I am so ready. I only get one week a year and I have worked there for 10 years. I think it is time for another paid week of vacation.

Better get back to vacunum cleaning.

Slow day at work, did not have our boring staff meeting. The boss stayed at home waiting on the plummer. Doc took us to lunch at Madame Wu's. Susie and I were going there for lunch, but he paid for our lunch so that was even better. The food is just not as good as when the orginal Madame Wu was there. I wish she was still here, but she moved to Fayetteville and opened a place there. I got a pedicure and manicure today for $20.00. I messed up the polish on my big toe before I even got in the house. Boo Hoo!

The night is windy and cool. Temperature is 56 degrees, a few days ago it was in the 90 and we turned the air on. We got a hard rain yesterday evening and early this morning. It was storming at 4:30 this morning so I stayed home, no workout today. I did do some yoga, so I wasn't terrible lazy. The rain will be good for the garden. Make the veggies grow.

Worked out again today, walked a little on tread mill, the did lower body today, then more elliptical walker. See how this does my lower back. Love the elliptical walker, but been having back pain.

Lovely day out, the sun is shinning and a nice breeze blowing. Vegetables are starting to come up in the garden, won't be long.

Computer is running slow, didn't think msn was going to come up. Cannot sleep again. This is my life, work, not much sleep. I use to go to bed and sleep so good, not wake up till alarm went off.

Grandson called tonight, someone threw a rock and hit back of his head, said he has a gash there and thinks he has a slight concussion. Must not be too bad, he was at friends house. Something is always happening to him.

We finally got some rain, a good slow rain, the squash is coming up and the corn. I planted green beans, they should be coming up soon. I am ready for some fresh veggies.

Not much done today, it was hot outside so I stayed in under the a/c. Plants are growing in the green house. I just hope I can keep them watered, a friend is supposed to come by this weekend and pick up some tomato plants. Husband thinks he can give away the egg plants and peppers. Next yearwill only germinate a few seeds instead of the whole package. This was my first time to do the seeds that way so I will know better.

Got my 30 minute workout in today, hopefully I will be able to sleep tonight. I read this article in Body + Soul magazine about cutting the hidden sugar for three weeks. Reading labels and stuff. Since I am diabetic and sorta watch my sugar anyway, I am trying their suggestion, this is day 2, I had 15 grams of sugar Monday about the same today. I had dried cranberries in my oatmeal and they are sweetened with sugar, not sure how to count them. I just said I had 15 grams today too.

I have some iris blooming, the yellow golden yellow and the blue. Looks like the white ones will open sometime this week. I have some lavender with pink, blue and gold they are so pretty.
Next will be the lilles usually after that I don't have much blooming. Don't usually have much luck with annuals. I have red salvia, zinnias, and some marigolds in the greenhouse hopefully they will be good bloomers this summer. I germinated some dalhia seeds and I think they all sprouted. I have about 40 plants, they are really growing. They say to plant in full sun, but our summers are really hot so I usually do part sun and part shade. I have been eating asaparagus out of the garden this year, it is so good. Better go to bed and try and sleep.

1:10 am, another night I cannot sleep, thought I would sleep good since we turned the a/c on, my body hurts I guess I worked too hard on the eliptical walker tonight. My hips are hurting, the left one hurts quite a bit. Maybe the bio freeze will help.

We have 92 tomato plants in the garden and about that many more to plant. We have not had any rain in several days. Weather lady said we are behind 4 inches since January. Maybe it will rain soon.

Busy afternoon at work, did two sets of x-rays. doing x-rays gets me out of therapy, which makes me happy.

I think I will try and go to sleep.

7:02 am, we got one of those April showers this morning, I hope thats all it is and not softball size hail. In Pocahontas, my home town, my sisters car looks terrible. She said, "her car looks terrible". Husband said he is going to cover the green house, we do have some bad weather coming. The plastic on the green is kind of flimsey. I have lots of plants in there, don't want to loose them. Might set out some tomato plants this weekend, or may wait till after Easter Sunday, we could still get a frost. I am not sure when the last frost date is.

Better go, need to get ready for work!

It sure was a beautiful day, about 70 degress. I think I got a little red on the shoulders and neck, they feel a little tender. I got those dahlias planted today. Now I will anxiously await their coming up.

I left work early Monday, I was sick. I felt bad Sunday, we went out Saturday night to eat at Brown's Catfish and the food didn't taste as good as usual. Husband said his was very good so I think I was getting sick then. I ached all over, stomache cramps, headache not a very good appetite so I came home and slept the whole afternoon. I was off this afternoon, this is my usual afternoon off. Daughter came over we chatted for a while then she did her journal. I went out to dig some more.

Watching Marth Stewart, I always record her everyday. Sometimes it is good, sometimes not.

Going out of town this weekend. We are going to Texas for Kats Seminar. Maybe I will get a little smarter. The weekend is supposed to be beautiful and I will be setting in class all day, part of Sunday and returning home Sunday afternoon. Hopefully my husband will not get hurt while I am gone, his weekend was a better, he cut some more wood for winter. He said we are going to have to buy a new stove before the winter.

Sunday, husband and I transplanted 72 pink brandywine tomato plants. Brother-In-Law planted them in a pot and insisted we take some for our garden. We already have plenty, I bet I have 150 tomato plants growing in the green house. I think next year we need to get together and decide who plants what, so we won't have too much.

April 1, 2006

Cannot sleep again, not Miss Kittys fault this time, my body hurts. I maybe exercising too much. Once I get started I don't want to stop. I got an adjustment today, my hips and legs hurt though. Backs of my thighs are really sore, that is from working in the yard Tuesday. I am going to work on the flower bed again today. I have a lot of weeds to get rid of. So far just 5 peonies are up. I some dahlia to set out, have to decide where. I also have some ornamental grasses coming in the mail soon, not sure where I want to put them. I also have to plant the dahlias somehere.

Work was better Friday, we had several patients, so the day went faster. Thank goodness its finely the weekend.

I have had a good day. Not a lot has happened today. Work was not bad, kind of boring. One new patient today, we got one yesterday. If we could get 1 new patient a day that would be good. Dr. Brown will be out tomorrow, just Dr. Foster and me. She went home sick today, so hopefully she will be there tomorrow.

Worked out again today, makes 9 days in a row. Hopefully my sugar will go back down. It never got real high, but I would like it lower.

Husband has to go back to the eye doctor Friday, hope that will be the last time. Each time he goes its $25.00 co-pay. I could have been worse, he could have lost his eye.

Vacation time is getting closer. I am a little nervous, but excited. I think it will be lots of fun to see all the stars up close.

I have had a good day. Started out at 6:10 this morning. This is my half day at work, so I spend most of my afternoon in the yard working in my flower beds. First I visited with daughter, then lunch, then time for weeding. I pull, dig up weeds, mulch and they just keep coming back. I am going to try and not let it get out of hand this summer. Once it get hot I stay inside. Plants are lucky if they get watered. I hope all this weeding I did today, I don't get poison ivy.

Five of my peonies are up, I still have one more to show up. Tulips are blooming. I need to get more tulips this fall to set out. I don't have as many as I did. I need to move some of my day lilies. I want to move them closer to the front of the garden so I can see them better. I need to dig up some iris they are getting thick again. I have lot of yellow with gold. Maybe I can sell them on ebay.

Red Hat tonight, we ate at Al Dente's, it was good. I ate shrimp scampi with some pasta, salad with garlic bread. First time there, it was very good.
